It was as if I couldn’t get away from yet another difficulty to overcome. Nothing dreadful in the scheme of things but enough to drain energy and motivation. Technology challenges, physical challenges, financial challenges – everyday stuff that can happen.
It is at these times that our resilience, self-care and focus need to come to the fore.
I was aware that I was being challenged through events happening but couldn’t seem to put an end to them. Was I inadvertently attracting them to me? What role were my thoughts playing? Do I just ride with it and wait for things to calm down?
I knew that it wasn’t a practical, problem-solving approach that was needed but a more spiritual one of guidance and understanding. The saying “physician heal thyself” was very apt!
Stepping out of my usual role as the “practitioner”, the wisdom and understanding of what was going on for me was enlightening and along with her unique way of healing got me back on track, cleared out unwanted energetic attachments and reset the whole of myself.
For me it was time to get back to my truer self and unburden myself of responsibilities that I had taken upon myself, create space to allow flexibility and joy and steer away from people or situations that are draining.
- Cancelling future events (that I felt I had to attend)
- Reading more during the day
- Being spontaneous in where I would like to go walking
- Create a “happy/ interesting/enjoyable” list of when things pop into my mind to engage in when it feels right to do so.
- Stop eating chocolate!
- Accept an “empty” day ahead and be curious as to what comes up.
- Sit in the garden more in the evening.
- Consciously change thoughts that bring in peace and joy.
