As the cold grip of winter loosens and the days grow longer, spring emerges as a powerful reminder of nature’s resilience and its ability to renew itself. Beyond the flowers blossoming and the trees regaining their green coats, spring offers a deeper, more subtle energy—one that awakens the body, mind, and spirit. This season is filled with a unique vibrancy that encourages growth, change, and new beginnings, making it an ideal time to recharge, set intentions, and embrace positive transformation.

Spring is synonymous with growth, whether it’s the budding of flowers or the surge of life that appears in nature after the stillness of winter. This season brings a fresh burst of energy, filling the air with the scent of blooming flowers and the sound of birds returning to their nests. The increase in daylight stimulates the production of serotonin, the “feel-good” hormone, making us feel more energized, optimistic, and motivated to take on new projects or hobbies.

Personally, this is my favourite time of the year, the crisp mornings and clear days makes my heart sing. Like the buds coming through I feel a burst of energy,

So, the beginning of spring is a perfect time to focus on personal renewal. Much like the earth’s awakening, this season offers a fresh opportunity to refocus energy, reset goals, and get moving towards aspirations. If you’ve been feeling sluggish, unmotivated, or stuck during the darker months of winter, now is the time to realign yourself with your true intentions. What have you been mulling over in the Winter months? Now is the time to start activating your intentions.

Spring energy is all about creation and action. You can start by setting new intentions, creating a vision board, or revisiting your goals from the beginning of the year. Whether it’s prioritizing health, advancing your career, learning a new skill, or cultivating meaningful relationships, spring provides the momentum needed to take the first steps toward achieving them.

It’s also a time to spring clean not just your physical space, but your mental and emotional space. Let go of outdated beliefs, negative patterns, and clutter that may be weighing you down. Spring cleaning is not only about tidying up your home, but also clearing the mental fog and creating an environment where new, positive energy can flow freely.

My preferred way of clearing my mind is by walking in the woods, listening to birdsong and asking for guidance or inspiration.  Shamanic drum journey provides an opportunity to go deeper into clearing out what we no longer need to belief and embrace new ways of being.

Allow your energy to bubble up, express your inner child, tune into the sights and sounds of Spring and enjoy this beautiful season.
